Sony Launches Xperia R1 and R1 plus Mid-Range Phones

Sony mobile manufacturer company launched two new mid-range smartphones on friday, the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. The brand new Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus will be sold in India and deliver mid-range specifications. The smartphones have been launched first in India. These two phones comes with typical Sony design. Both run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box but Sony promises that the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade rolling out soon.

Sony Xperia R1 Specs

The Xperia R1 features a 5.2-inch 720p display with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It also supports for microSD card. The main camera is 13 MP with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, and LED flash and 8 MP front-facing camera. It packed with 2,620 mAh battery, USB type-C port, and dual SIM support. It supports connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with support for LTE Cat. 4, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi. It also comes with FM radio.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus Specs

The Xperia R1 Plus is almost identical to the Xperia R1. We hardly found any difference on both devices. The only difference between the two devices is that the Plus will feature 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Rather than this their is no difference in both devices.

The Xperia R1 and the Xperia R1 Plus officially priced at INR 13,990 and INR 15,990 respectively. Approx. $215 and $245 respectively.
